91原创 Olympians Swim Club (LOSC) did well at the Swim BC Fraser & Vancouver Divisional Championships, taking the team title, the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 titles, and winning 97 medals.

Close to 400 swimmers from 12 clubs took part the competition, hosted by the Surrey Knights Swim Club at the Surrey Sports and Leisure Complex Feb. 23-25.

LOSC sent 95 swimmers, racing in both individual and relay events.

Overall, LOSC brought home the team title with 4083.5 points as well as winning both the Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 titles too with 2130.5 and 1953 points, respectively.

After finals on Sunday, the team left with 43 gold, 27 silver and 27 bronze medals, setting 55 new provincial time standards in the process.

Head Coach Ryan Skomorowski called it a 鈥済reat weekend of racing.鈥�

鈥淒ivisionals is a great meet to tune up before provincial Championships and is one of the most fun meets of the year,鈥� Skomorowski said.

鈥淚t is nice to see all the groups swimming fast at the beginning of the competition season鈥�

Coach Brian Metcalfe complimented the group for 鈥渧ery good break through swims in secondary events. Many of them found success in races that they do not swim as often, so they were able to show their skill in a range of events.鈥�

Assistant Head Coach Hattie Sun was proud of the junior provincial squad for progressing from four divisional qualifiers last season to 12 this season.

Up next, Swim BC Provincial Championships will be taking place March 7-10 in Victoria.
