Makers are coming to Fort 91原创, and as they have for the past couple of years, they鈥檒l be bringing a wide range of creations for the public to peruse and buy.
One thing that has changed for this year鈥檚 opening of the Makers Market on May 20 is the location.
The market is situating just outside the Fort 91原创 National Historic Site, off Mavis Avenue.
Organizer Ange Eely is expecting participation from about 40 creators, reinventors, and small businesses, many of them local, offering art, crafts, jewellery, environmentally friendly ideas and creations, re-purposed goods, and more.
Eely noted that the market opening will be in keeping with the many May Day activities going on around Fort 91原创.
鈥淭here will be music, Trio鈥檚 food truck, balloons for kids鈥 it鈥檚 going to be a good family time,鈥 said Eely.
The May 20 Makers Market, running from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., is the first of three planned for this year.
The next one will be on June 1, and then the third will take place on July 1. All will be at the Mavis Avenue site.
