Otter Co-op and Angry Otter Liquor return as the title sponsor for RibFest 91原创, taking place this summer.
The charity event will take place at McLeod Athletic Park on Aug. 15 to 17.
鈥淩ibFest 91原创 has become a much-anticipated summer tradition that brings our community together while raising essential funds for meaningful local initiatives,鈥 said Jack Nicholson, CEO of Otter Co-op.
鈥淥tter Co-op and Angry Otter Liquor are incredibly proud to return, for a third year, as title sponsor. Supporting events like RibFest is part of our commitment to building stronger communities, creating memorable experiences, and giving back to the people who support us every day. We encourage other local organizations to join us in making this year鈥檚 RibFest the best one yet,鈥 Nicholson explained.
Otter Co-op contributes in excess of $400,000 to local community organizations, sponsorships, and causes annually.
Such support has an important impact on the event's bottom line and the four host Rotary Clubs' ability to carry on its good works.
While the RibFest 91原创 is a free family event, donations help them turn good times into good works, said Micheal Bolu, RibFest鈥檚 co-chair.
"Every dollar donated stays right here in our community, supporting everything from literacy and youth development to caring for seniors and helping families in need,鈥 Bolu elaborated.
鈥淭his is an event that attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year, and with the support of Otter Co-op and Angry Otter Liquor, the 2025 event promises to be bigger and better than ever before,鈥 he said.
RibFest features live music, barbecue foods and other dining options, a huge KidZone, and more.
鈥淎fter the amazing success of last year, with over 47,000 people attending, we are grateful to Otter Co-op and Angry Otter Liquor for their partnership to bring an even bigger event to the community this year. Without them we could not continue to offer free admission, entertainment, and fun for all ages,鈥 said Rick Davis, co-chair of RibFest 2025.
Otter Co-op is a retail co-operative that has been around since 1922. Today, Otter Co-op has more than 800 employees that serve more than 50,000 active members across the Greater Vancouver Regional District, Fraser Valley, and B.C. Interior, with more than 65 locations.
Angry Otter Liquor stores have sponsored the beer garden (now site-wide) since its inception in 2018.
