Dear Editor,
Recently, the Township of 91Ô´´ conducted a survey. Under the guise of pretty words and green promises, it presented the idea of sustainable development.
I read the climate action section of the Township’s website (1) and it was a big red flag for Agenda 21.
Agenda 21 (currently touted as The Great Reset) is a 350 page document penned by the United Nations in 1992, signed by 178 world leaders, including President George Bush of the United States and Prime Minister Brian Mulroney of our beloved Canada
(2). It can be read on the U.N. website: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/outcomedocuments/agenda21
Far from being a friendly plan to usher in peace and environmental integrity, Agenda 21 is about the inventory and control of all land, water, minerals, plants, animals, construction, means of production, food, energy, information and human beings
(3). Keep in mind that the United Nations is not an elected body – we didn’t vote them into power.
Once fully implemented, Agenda 21 intends to affect you in the following ways: eliminate your right to private ownership (property rights); forbid you from entering woodland and wetland areas; impose higher prices at the store, the gas station and through taxes (this will help to eliminate the middle class); restrict your civil liberties; restrict the number of children you can have; restrict the amount of waste you can dispose of and water you can use; and more. People will be manipulated into moving from rural to urban areas, where they can be more easily managed and surveilled.
(4). To investigate how closely the Township of 91Ô´´ aligns with this ideology, I went to ICLEI.org and found that Metro Vancouver, which includes 91Ô´´, is listed as a member.
(5). ICLEI is the local arm of the United Nations – one of the candy-coated tools they use to implement their agenda.
Dear friends, don’t be deceived, and don’t allow your rights and freedoms to be slowly, subtly and systematically eroded away. Canadians are smart, and we can make wise decisions for ourselves, our beautiful country and our environment without the interference of the U.N. and without the financial burden of belonging to these international organizations.
We’re pleased to introduce engagement on our Climate Action Strategy. We need your feedback on the priority areas and how we’re going to meet our targets. Learn more about climate action, the strategy, and take the survey, open now until October 16:
— Township of 91Ô´´ (@91Ô´´Township)
I request all local, provincial and federal government agencies across Canada to withdraw from ICLEI, and to instead put Canadian citizens and Canadian sovereignty first.
As we solemnly observe Remembrance Day this month, let’s not forget that our countrymen fought for freedom, and we should, too.
K. Stevens, South 91Ô´´
