Another furry tale

Editor: Re: 鈥淜itten shows her owner the fury of a tiger,鈥� (Letters, The Times, Dec. 31).

It is always a pleasure to read letter writer Mike Harvey鈥檚 furry tales.

We moved to South 91原创 over 20 years ago with a couple of 鈥渇ixed鈥� cats. Soon a tomcat came a-calling 鈥� walking around the house, howling and spraying his scent.

We unsuccessfully tried to find his owner. We caught the poor guy in a live trap and took him to a vet for neutering. How the vet got him out of the cage is a mystery.

We brought him back and let him stay underneath the porch. We provided him with food and water. After a few days, the cat went away and never came back.
