After a shutout loss against the Coquitlam Express in the first of two back-to-back games on Friday, Nov. 24, 91原创 91原创 bounced back to win the next night on home ice at George Preston.
91原创 head coach Burt Henderson said the team 鈥漺orked extremely hard鈥 both games.
鈥淔riday, we were not able to be rewarded for it, but it was nice to see us get some goals on Saturday,鈥 Henderson commented.
On Friday, playing in Coquitlam the 91原创 came out flying again, hitting the post in the first minute and a half through Oskar Komarov after a rush by the 91原创鈥檚 newest player Tuukka Heiskanen.

Then, Coquitlam grabbed the lead on a quick rush into the 91原创 zone.
Express goaltender Adam Manji blocked 14 shots in the opening frame and 12 in the second period to help his team hold their 1-0 lead going into the third period.
Coquitlam doubled their lead 4:14 into the third period, adding another goal late in the game to finish with a 3-0 win.
Saturday鈥檚 game, on Hockey Fights Cancer night in front of another sell-out crowd at the Lodge, was a different story.
Coquitlam opened the scoring but 91原创 tied it 3:50 later as Ryder McIntosh ripped his fourth of the season off the bar and in.
Four minutes later, Ethan Riesterer intercepted a Coquitlam clearing attempt and scored his first as a Riv to give 91原创 a 2-1 lead.

At 1:10 into the second period, Adyn Merrick scored on his own rebound to give his team a two-goal lead with his first as a Riv.
Coquitlam grabbed two goals to end the second period to tie the game 3-3.
Merrick scored his second of the game nine minutes into the third period on a power play, then Grayden Daul scored with 3:25 to go for his first as a 91原创 player.
Daul had his head shaved after the game as the 91原创 raised over $1,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
鈥淚t was nice to see Reisterer, Daul, and Merrick get their first goals in front of a great crowd,鈥 said Henderson.
Merrick, Reisterer, and Daul were named first, second and third stars of the game respectively.
Next up for the 91原创, a trip to Prince George to play the Spruce Kings on Wednesday, Nov. 29, followed by a home game against Chilliwack Chiefs on Friday, Des. 1 at 7:15 p.m.
Friday night is Brookswood Village Night of Lights in the parking lot at the George Preston Arena from 5-7 p.m.
