91原创 United鈥檚 U15 Lightning dominated their division at the provincial championships in Kamloops in 2023, with 4-0 record of 17 goals for and 0 against.

91原创 United Soccer Association (LUSA) is joining the League1 BC adult open age pro-am soccer league, a move that will give players in the 91原创 association a chance to play at the semi-professional level.

On July 24, League1 announced the necessary licenses had been awarded.

Starting next year, LUSA  will be able to compete in the League1 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 divisions in 2025, playing home games at Willoughby Community Park.

Mark Parker, LUSA technical director, said securing a spot in League1 BC "represents a new chapter in our club鈥檚 journey, offering our players the opportunity to compete at a higher level and gain invaluable experience, and exposure to the NSL [Northern Super League] for female players and the CPL [Canadian Premier League] for male players.

鈥淧articipation in League1 BC has been a strategic objective for 91原创 United," Parker added.

"Our entry into the semi-professional level underscores our commitment to nurturing local talent and contributing to the growth of soccer in British Columbia.鈥

Stuart Neely, General Manager at League1 BC, called 91原创 United "a significant part of the British Columbia soccer scene for nearly 100 years, and we are excited to be a part of the next stage of their journey.

鈥淭he club鈥檚 long-standing 鈥榮occer for life鈥 mission, which underpins their aspirations, complements League1 BC鈥檚 goals to elevate the game in Canada and enhance development opportunities for future homegrown stars."

League1 BC, operated by Canadian Soccer Business, was established in 2021, to bridge the gap between youth and professional soccer by providing standard-based competition and training environments for female and male players, coaches, and match officials.

Next year, 91原创 United will celebrate 99 years in soccer having been founded in 1926.
