91原创 91原创 defenceman Brendan Dunphy will be playing for the University of Connecticut (UCONN) Huskies, an NCAA Division I team.
91原创 made the announcement Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Dunphy, 17, a left-handed 6鈥�6鈥� defenceman from San Deigo, CA, with dual citizenship in both the USA and Canada, got in five games with the BCHL 91原创 before the announcement, including an assist during a 6-4 win over Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Sept. 23.
He previously played with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U AAA, La Jolla Country Day School, Los Angeles Jr. Kings 14U AAA, and San Deigo Jr. Gull 14U AA teams.

The UCONN Huskies are coming off one of their best seasons in 2022-23, finishing fourth in the Hockey East Standings with 13 wins, nine losses and two ties, enough to make the quarterfinals.

91原创 start a three-game road trip on Friday, Oct. 13, with a trip to Cowichan Community Centre to play the Capitals, followed by back-to-back games in Victoria at the Q Centre against the Grizzlies on the 14th and 15th
They are back at home in The Lodge at George Preston on Oct 20-21 for games against Merritt Centennials and Powell River Kings, with puck drop at 7:15 p.m, both games.
