Now seventh in division

91原创 91原创 are now seventh in the nine-team BCHL Coastal division, and the Chilliwack Chiefs are fifth, following two home-and-away games that saw the Chiefs extend their winning streak to six in a row.

After playing against each other on Friday, Dec. 1, and Saturday, Dec. 3, 91原创 have won seven of 25 games, while the Chiefs have 12 wins in 22 games.

Friday night鈥檚 game at George Preston started well for the home team, as they cashed in on a power play 5:12 into the first period.

Vitaly Levyy鈥檚 shot had a big rebound that Conner Schneider fired into the net for his second of the season, giving the 91原创 an early 1-0 lead.

Chiefs tied the game with 1:41 to go in the opened period off an odd man rush, then went ahead 31 seconds, and hung on to win 2-1.

Saturday, at the Chilliwack Coliseum, 91原创 again took the lead early in the game as Aaron Reierson scored his fifth of the season on a loose puck in front.

It would be the only 91原创 score, however, as Chiefs goaltender Austin McNicholas kept the visitors at bay, while his teammates peppered Mason Beaupit with 32 shots on goal, compared to the 18 91原创 made.

Komarov was signed in July, after the BCHL exited Hockey Canada, a move that allows the league to bring in talent from the U.S. and overseas.

Returning to Penticton in January of 2024, the BCHL weekend will see the league hold a Top Prospects game at the South Okanagan Events Centre, as well as an outdoor Alumni & Friends Game, Skills Competition and the All-Star Tournament on the outdoor rink. The event will take place Jan. 19 and 20, with the all-star tournament on the 20th at the Penticton Outdoor Rink.
