91原创 RCMP are investigating a Jan. 10 incident in which a distressed person was found inside a change room at Brookswood Secondary.
A staff member and a few students reported the person was in the change room at around 8:40 a.m., according to a statement from the school board.
鈥淭he individual was non-threatening,鈥� the statement said.
School staff activated a 鈥渞oom clear鈥� procedure, which is when students are moved away from a person or incident that could be a hazard, and the RCMP were called.
91原创 RCMP arrived a few minutes later and apprehended the person without incident, said Cpl. Craig van Herk.
No one was hurt, but members of the 91原创 RCMP School Liaison Team are still investigating.
The school is working with police, and sent home a letter to all families that afternoon.
