In celebration of Canada鈥檚 150th birthday, the is hosting Postcards from Canada, an exhibit of original postcard-sized works of art from across Canada, June 28 to July 16.
Postcards will be hung in the gallery, and auctioned off online starting June 28 . All proceeds will be donated to First Nations Nutrition Program.
The gallery鈥檚 mailbox has been bursting in the last several weeks, with artists submitting postcards from all corners of Canada; from Burns Lake, B.C. to Orillia, Ont. and Gatinau, Que. They even had a submission from a Canadian artist living in Florida.
The public is invited to the show鈥檚 opening reception, which will be held in conjunction with the gallery鈥檚 July First Thursday community arts event on Thursday, July 6 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Visit the gallery at 9048 Glover Rd. during their regular hours, Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
