Fort 91原创鈥檚 churches again joined together for the Stations of Holy Week event on Good Friday, March 30.
The annual Fort 91原创 Good Friday Walk involved members of the churches and the public carrying a cross through multiple sites in the village.
At various stops, there were prayers, readings from the Gospel, and hymns.
鈥淲e really believe in unity at the churches of Fort 91原创,鈥 said Pastor Luke Knight of the Living Waters Church, one of five that worked together again this year to create the event.
The cross is a symbol of the pain and suffering of the world, but also of hope and togetherness in the community, Knight said.
The event drew a crowd of several hundred people, starting in front of the Fort 91原创 Community Hall at 10 a.m.
The large crowd took some time to wind through Fort 91原创鈥檚 streets, with various people carrying the cross from point to point. Some whole families took turns carrying it between the various churches and other stops on the walk around the community.
There were 10 stations, after which an offering was received for the 91原创 Memorial Hospital Chaplaincy fund, to help provide spiritual care in hospital and hospice.
