The public will have an opportunity to discuss the 91Ô´´ School District’s annual budget tonight (June 19) in Murrayville.
A budget open house is scheduled to take place in the board room of the school board office, 4875 222 St., from 6 to 7 p.m.
Open to the public, the open house allows residents to review and ask questions regarding the 2017/18 91Ô´´ School District annual budget.
The third reading of the bylaw will take place at the regular board meeting being held Tuesday, June 20.

On Feb. 21, the 91Ô´´ board of education approved a $212 million amended 2016-2017 budget.
The district will spend $159.6 million on instruction. School District secretary-treasurer David Green explained during the Feb. 21 meeting that many teachers in 91Ô´´ have retired and new ones have been hired.
In late May, the school district confirmed that it is in the process of hiring more than 100 full-time teachers for the coming school year.
