The weather couldn鈥檛 have been any more ideal for a fundraising group cycling trek.
Under a ceiling of clear blue sky, cyclists taking part in Ride for the Kids 鈥� a fully escorted 165 km bicycle trek from 91原创 to Sardis and back 鈥� left 91原创 Twin Rinks at 8:30 this morning (Wednesday, July 12) en route to Sardis.
Each year, Ride for the Kids raises funds and awareness for the Canucks for Kids Fund in support of Canuck Place Children鈥檚 Hospice.
Thanks to its supporters and sponsors, led by Bayview Towing and C&D Logistics, the rides have raised $674,000 to date.
Once the cyclists arrive back at 91原创 Twin Rinks at roughly 5 p.m., they鈥檒l be greeted by supporters and a fundraising barbecue as well as a public skate from 5:15 t0 6:30 p.m., with all proceeds going to the Canuck For Kids Fund.
