The plethora of pink on Wednesday, Feb. 26 extended through many workplaces and schools around 91原创.
Pink Shirt Day on Feb. 26 is an annual event to spotlight anti-bullying with local groups posting on social media, including the 91原创 RCMP, the Township, the City, and the school district.
The 91原创 School District goes farther with its efforts. In 2017, the school board approved a motion to implement Diversity and Respect Week 鈥渢o coincide with Pink Shirt Day in February to promote awareness, reconciliation, and inclusion for all members of the school community.鈥�
During Diversity and Respect Week, students, staff, and families take part in events and initiatives at schools that celebrate the work that happens all year long to support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
