The gleaming chromed classic cars and hot rods were lined up at Aldergrove鈥檚 Otter Co-op Sunday morning for the fifth annual Country Car Show.

Organized by the Central Fraser Valley chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada, the show celebrated electric cars, past and present.

Visitors got to see a 1912 production-line electric car, and a wooden replica of another 1898 electric 鈥渉orseless carriage.鈥

In the early years of auto production, it wasn鈥檛 clear whether gas or electric would be the dominant engine standard.

There were also plenty of modern electric cars on display, including several Teslas, and some Chevrolet Volts.

One car getting a lot of attention was Bill Carlson鈥檚 1937 Chevrolet Master Coupe, an electric conversion hot rod.
