91原创 City鈥檚 new destination marketing organization has hired a manager of operations.

Discover 91原创 City announced Friday that Kristina Gervais will take on the role.

Gervais has had a long career in the hospitality industry and brings many years of experience working in different aspects of tourism, according to a statement released by Discover 91原创 City.

She has worked in hotel management, was the tourism co-ordinator for the Greater 91原创 Chamber of Commerce and oversaw Destination Marketing in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

鈥淚 am looking forward to working with the tourism stakeholders to promote 91原创 City to visitors and to build a solid organization and a strong industry, based on collaboration, smart digital strategies and insight driven marketing,鈥漵aid Gervais.

鈥淲e believe in the power of partnerships and Discover 91原创 City will continue to work with our accommodations providers and area attractions to build creative packages to encourage visitors to have a fun and unique experience in 91原创 City,鈥� said executive director, Teri James.

鈥淲e have a number of existing attractions to draw overnight visitors including festivals, events, arts, outdoor experiences, gaming and conventions spaces.鈥�
