What a way to end a season.
91原创 Rams wrapped it up with a 64-3 win over the Kamloops Broncos Saturday night at McLeod Athletic Park, extending their undefeated run to the entire 10-game regular season.
Head coach Howie Zaron said the top goal going in was to enable running back Andrew Pocrnic to complete his bid to set new records.
鈥淭he main part was to make sure Pocrnic got his record,鈥 and making sure the team came out of the game healthy, Zaron observed.
As it turned out the team succeeded on both points.
Pocrnic carried the ball 19 times for 222 yards and six touchdowns versus the Broncos.
In the process the Saskatoon native broke a league record for the most touchdowns in a season, bringing his tally to 27.

Pocrnic also set records for most rushing yards in a season at more than 1,100, most touchdowns in a game (six). most rushing touchdowns in a season (26), most touchdowns in consecutive games (12), most points in a season (1672).
He is also rushing leader for the season.
After the game, Pocrnic described it as a 鈥渟urreal鈥 experience.
鈥溾業鈥檓 still soaking it in, Pocrnic told the 91原创 Advance Times.
His mother, brother and nieces were there to witness the accomplishment, which made the moment even better, he said.
Pocrnic praised the Rams offensive team for making his record possible.
鈥淚 want to give a shout out to the 鈥渙鈥 line,鈥 Pocrnic commented.
鈥淲ithout them, I couldn鈥檛 have done it. They鈥檙e the best group in the country.鈥

Now, he said, attention must shift from the regular season to the semifinals.

Play was halted for about 30 minutes when Broncos wide receiver Brendan Girard suffered an apparent leg injury during play and had to wait on the field until paramedics could assess and transport him to hospital.
Rams now host the BCFC semifinal next Saturday.
It will be against either the Okanagan Sun or VI Raiders, pending the result of Sunday鈥檚 Sun vs Rebels game.

Saturday鈥檚 victory comes after the British Columbia Football Conference picked it鈥檚 2019 All Star team and the 91原创 Rams were well represented with 12 players named to the squad, seven on offense and five on the defensive side of the ball: defensive line players Partap Sidhu and Nik Sorace, defensive backs Kyle Clarot and Isaiah Okoli, linebacker Cole Barron, offensive line players Ross Baykey, Spencer Schmitke and Niko Lazarakis, Pocrnic, quarterback Duncan Little, receivers Khalik Johnson and Jarryd Taylor.
