Win some, lose some.

91原创 Rams had a good outing in week nine in the B.C.Conference of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL), a trip to Victoria and a satisfying 23-10 road trip victory over the Westshore Rebels, the team that kept them out of the Cullen Cup last season.

Week 10 was a different story, a 33-5 defeat by Valley Huskers in Chilliwack.

In the win over Westshore on Sunday, Sept. 15, Rams running back Bruce Jones, who rushed 22 times for 182 yards and scored a touchdown, was named offensive player of the week.

91原创's ground game was key to the victory, with Westshore shutting down Rams passing plays.

Rams got their game in gear when Gob Deng took the opening kick off of the second half, travelling 104-yards to the end zone to give the visitors momentum the rest of the way.

Kicker Marcus Jones hit three field goals from 19, 26, and 37 yards.

Defensively, Rams held the Rebels running game to 52 yards on the ground.

Ethan Ginogino made five solo tackles, had  three assists and picked  off a pass, while Isaiah Cooper added a pair of quarterback sacks.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, for the first time this season, Rams didn't score a single touchdown against the Valley Huskers in Chiliwack, falling 33-5.

It was billed as a regional rivalry game between the Rams and Huskers with important implications in the BC Conference standings, their second meeting of the season after the Rams protected their home turf on Aug. 24 and won 27-8.

Huskers exacted retribution with a passing game that gained 321 yards on a usually stingy Rams defence.

Quarterback Tyran Duval completed 17 passes for 253 yards and had a touchdown.  On a trick play, receiver Luc Rodrigues threw a 68-yard touchdown strike to Dhag Mora as well. Steven Koniuck caught four passes for a game high 144 yards and had a major.

Defensively, Huskers forced seven turnovers and their secondary knocked down 10 passes.

Rams' Marcus Jones scored a field goal in the second quarter, and the team managed two single-pointers in the third.

Rams are second in the B.C. conference standings with six wins and three losses, behind the undefeated Okanagan Sun who have won nine in a row, and just ahead of the third place Huskers who improved their record to five wins and three losses at the expense of 91原创.

With a bye week, 91原创 has some extra days to recover and prepare for their next match, a Saturday,  Oct. 5 return engagement with the Rebels at McLeod Athletic Park in 91原创 at 4 p.m.
