Young hockey players ages hit the ice to celebrate the memory of a hockey-loving boy who passed too soon.
Hundreds of initiation-aged (five to eight) hockey players took part in the 17th annual Jordan Owens Memorial Hockey Tournament.
It was held at the 91原创 Sportsplex from March 16 to 19.
Owens passed away in 1999 after a battle with cancer.
And for the past 17 years, a tournament has been held in his honour.
While final numbers are still being tallied, $20,000 has been raised this year, pushing the 17-year total to more than $200,000.
The money raised goes to the B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation.
