Shmyr, a member of the , was competing in Calgary at the championships.
The 19-year-old finished first in the 500m and super 500m events and was second and third, in the 1,500m and 1,000m events, respectively.
Her results earned Shmyr a spot on Canada鈥檚 team for the in Australia in February.
This will be the second consecutive year she has skated for Canada at the competition.
