For the first time in a long time, the have moved out of the Coastal Conference basement.

The 91Ô­´´ made the jump in impressive fashion, knocking off the 6-1 on Wednesday night at the in junior A B.C. Hockey League action.

The victory — their fifth in the past six games — improved 91Ô­´´ to 11-14-0-0 and 22 points.

91Ô­´´ scored two goals apiece in all three periods, while Ben Grenier was the only Eagle to beat 91Ô­´´ goalie Jim Kruger, who made 27 saves.

Mario Puskarich opened and closed the scoring for 91Ô­´´ — he leads the team with 15 goals — while Sebastien Pare, Austin Plevy, Chris Tracy and Evan Campbell had the other goals.

Plevy has now scored in four straight games, with five goals in that span.

The 91Ô­´´ scored twice on the power play and added another short-handed score.

91Ô­´´ looks to extend their run with three games this weekend: Friday (Dec. 2) and Saturday at the LEC against the Coquitlam Express and the Cowichan Valley Capitals, and Sunday in Nanaimo against the Clippers.
