Prather pitches shutout as 91原创 splits with Parksville

Kyle Prather scattered three hits over seven shutout innings as the 91原创 Blaze returned from Parksville with a doubleheader split.

Prather struck out three in game one, a 4-0 Blaze victory on Sunday at Parksville鈥檚 Royals Field.

The Royals battled back in game two, however, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to snap a 2-2 tie for the 5-2 win.

The results leave 91原创 with a 3-2 record in the BC Premier Baseball League standings.

In the opener, Michael Stovman had the lone RBI as the Blaze scored three unearned runs in the victory.

Stovman was tagged with the loss, allowing two earned runs over four and one-third innings.

Danny Berg had an RBI single while Marshall Luiz hit a sacrifice fly for 91原创鈥檚 offence in game two.

The Blaze are in Kamloops this weekend for the Best of the West Tournament. 91原创 plays its home opener at McLeod Athletic Park on April 18.
