91Ô­´´'s Brookswood Bobcats make B.C. championship final

Will play Seaquam at BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships in 91Ô­´´ Events Centre

After they upset top seed Argyle, it will be 91Ô­´´'s Brookswood Bobcats versus Seaquam in the 4A tournament final of the BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships at 91Ô­´´ Events Centre Saturday night.

After three days of action, 91Ô­´´'s Brokswood Bobcats will play in the 4A final championship game of the BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships being held at 91Ô­´´ Events Centre.

In the lone upset of a semi-final Friday, the No. 4 ranked Bobcats took out the top-seed Argyle Pipers from North Vancouver 67-58.

Jordyn Nohr dropped 32 points in the win – including 7 triples – with Ashley Vande Ven and Hazel Phillips scoring 14 points each. Vande Ven added 11 rebounds.

Isabella Miljkovic had 22 points and 11 rebounds with Mariia Maydan adding eight points and 14 rebounds.

At 7:45 p.m. tonight, Saturday, March 1, Bobcats will go for a second-straight upset in the finals against the defending champion and No. 2 seed Seaquam Seahawks from Delta.

All four finals of the provincial championships will be played in the LEC Arena Bowl to mark the 75th  edition of the championships starting at 1 p.m.

No. 1 Pacific Christian (Victoria) was to face No. 2 Sir Alexander Mackenzie (Hagensborg) in the 1A tournament, while No. 1 Holy Cross (Surrey) played St. Michaels University School (Victoria) in the 2A tournament, and the 3A tournament featured No. 1 M.E.I. (Abbotsford) against No. 2 Sa-Hali (Kamloops).
