When you dominate the regular season with a 41-7 record, chances are high that there will be several individual statistical leaders as well.
And that was the case for the 91原创 Jr. Blaze, the top team in the B.C. Junior U16 Premier Baseball League.
Liam Stroud led the league with 99 strikeouts, which he did in just over 70 innings, and he finished tied for second in wins, with 10. He also had no losses.
The leader was his teammate, Mitchell Kennedy, who went 14-1. Kennedy was also second in earned run average at 0.97.
Another Blaze hurler, Ashton Mantle, was fourth at 1.19 ERA and third in strikeouts with 82 in nearly 59 innings.
Offensively, the team was atop several statistical categories.
Nick Rutckyj won the triple crown with a .402 batting average, two home runs and 38 RBIs.
He actually finished tied in that last category with teammate Preston Kokatailo. In fact, 91原创 had the top four RBI producers, with Tyler O鈥橬eill finishing with 37 and Matt Strother driving in 30.
Mitchell Robinson was second in batting average, hitting .398 and Kokatailo was fourth at .383.
