Five people were sent to hospital following a two-vehicle crash near the border of Mission and Maple Ridge on Saturday, Jan. 11 on Dewdney Trunk Road east of 288 St.
A statement from B.C. Emergency Health Services said paramedics received a call at 7:28 p.m. about a motor vehicle incident in the area of Dewdney Trunk Road and 284 St. Maple Ridge.
"Four ambulance crews and a supervisor responded," the statement said.
"Five patients were tended to, then transported to hospital 鈥 two in critical condition and three with non-life-threatening injuries.鈥
There was no update on the condition of the two persons initially listed as critical.
Ridge Meadows RCMP referred queries to the Mission RCMP detachment, which advised their media relations officer would not be available until Monday.
