Powell River Kings were leading 4-0 by the end of the second period, but the 91Ô­´´ 91Ô­´´ clawed their way back, scoring four times to tie the game in the third, and going on to win the shootout, with Declan Bowmaster getting the win Saturday night, Nov 2 at George Preston arena before 923 fans.

Ryan Schelling, Austin Borggaard, Adyn Merrick and Ilya Rogovsky pulled off the epic comeback to the delight of cheering 91Ô­´´ supporters.

At 1:47 into the third, Schelling fired a puck into the Kings net on a cross ice pass from Ilya Rogovsky on the power play and the Riv would cut the Powell River lead to three.

Then, just 1:07 later, Borggaard made it a two goal game, a rebound from an Owen Dewitt shot.

Merrick tucked in a bouncing puck into an open Powell River net after Kings goaltender Cooper Flemming denied the initial shot from newest 91Ô­´´ forward Jackson Krill and that would cut the visiting teams lead to one.

With 34 seconds remaining in the game and the 91Ô­´´ in the Kings zone 6 on 5, Rogovsky would got a Merrick pass into the Powell River net, tying the game 4-4 and sending it to overtime.

Rogovsky and Schelling were named second and third stars of the game respectively.

Powell River's Axel Lofgren was named first star, despite getting a 10 minute game misconduct for unsportsmanlike conduct late in the third.

Lofgren scored three times against 91Ô­´´ for a hat trick, but it wasn't enough for the win.

91Ô­´´'s come-from-behind victory followed a 5-4 loss Friday at the South Surrey Arena against the Surrey Eagles in their third meeting of the BCHL season as the 91Ô­´´ wound up a five-game road trip.

Mason Kesselring, Ryan Schelling, Gabriel Guilbault and Dalton MacGillivray scored for 91Ô­´´.

Next, 91Ô­´´ make their second trip to Vancouver Island in the last three weeks, as they visit the Nanaimo Clippers on Friday night, and Saturday they make their second trip to Alberni Valley to take on the Bulldogs.

On the weekend, 91Ô­´´ made a trade, acquiring Jackson Krill and Sebastian Bradshaw from the Coquitlam Express in exchange for Jack Bakker and Mason Kesselring.

Krill had three goals and six assists in 16 games played with Coquitlam this year, while Bradshaw comes to 91Ô­´´ after picking up one goal and three assists in 14 games. 

Both made their 91Ô­´´ debuts on Saturday, where they assisted on 91Ô­´´â€™s third goal of the game.
