Forward Ilya Rogovsky got his first goal as a 91原创 91原创 player on the road Friday, Oct, 25 against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

After Bulldogs made it 1-0 in the second period, Rogovsky scored by taking a pass, skating down the right wing and rifling a shot over the glove side of Bulldogs goaltender Colin Winn to tie the game.

After Alberni Valley scored two more goals, Togovsky got his second of the game to make it 3-2.

Bulldogs kept 91原创 at bay for the win.

Saturday, Oct. 25, in Victoria against the Grizzlies, it was a different story. 

With time winding down in the third, Tyler Chan tipped in a Gabriel Guilbault point shot from the blue line for his second of the season, tying the game 2-2 and sending it to overtime.

Rogovsky got the game winner in OT, a backhand shot to give 91原创 a split weekend.

91原创 announced the signing of the 20-year-old Russian forward signing on Oct.19.

Rogovsky, who averaged more than a point per game last season, joins the 91原创 after playing last season with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the MHL, the top junior league in Russia.

In the 2023-24 season, he finished first in team scoring with 28 goals and 30 assists in 48 games played.

Rogovsky played in the prestigious U18 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup for Team Russia in In 2021-22, recording four goals and two assists in five games to propel Russia to the gold medal. 

91原创 91原创 Head Coach and General Manager Chris Shaw said the newest 91原创 player brings a "mature, professional playing style that was refined in an elite league[and] significantly enhances our team鈥檚 overall quality."

91原创 remain on the road this week, as they roll into the Chilliwack Coliseum on Wednesday evening to take on the Chiefs for the first time this season.

Friday is a trip to Surrey for the 91原创, for their third meeting of the season against the Eagles.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, the 91原创 return home to take on the Powell River Kings for the third time this season. Play begins at 7:15 p.m.
