Time for casino revenue to offset tax increases

Editor: 91原创 City residents pay very high taxes. We have lived here 23 years. Yes,we love our area and someone has to pay for all the services we get, but when the City informed us of the building of the Cascades Casino, the mayor also stated that the revenue would be used to offset our property taxes.

That, to date, has not happened. We are still waiting and want to know when is this going to happen. I think it is way overdue.

Also, it would have been nice to have had more notice of the budget meeting held by the City on Feb. 9.

I think it is high time we saw some of the annual revenue from the casino put to taxes, to ease the burden on the residents of this City.

With living expenses constantly going up, it is overdue.
