Editor: B.C. Views columnist Tom Fletcher covers some of the political, technical and business issues that make BC Hydro鈥檚 so-called smart meters controversial (The Times, March 16).
But it isn鈥檛 until he鈥檚 halfway done that he mentions the most important issue, and then dismisses it with, 鈥淭here is another concern, which is that the brief signals 鈥� are somehow a health hazard.鈥�
They are definitely a health hazard.
People in places such as California and Ontario, where smarter meters have already been installed are practically rioting, and it isn鈥檛 because their electricity bills have gone up. It鈥檚 because they fear for their health.
