Letter: Township must address invasive weed problem

Editor: Once again, ragwort 鈥搒enecio jacobaea is in full bloom along many 91原创 Township road verges.

How can we expect land owners to control this hazardous plant on their properties when the Township, year after year, sets such a bad example?

This comment can also be applied to purple loosestrife 鈥� Lythrum salicaria and Himalayan balsam 鈥� Impatiens glanulifera which are not noxious but equally invasive.

I have notified LEPS of some of the particularly bad infestations.
