Last Wednesday, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Blair Lekstrom and 91原创 MLA Mary Polak announced there will be a new design for the Mufford Overpass project.
All residents of 91原创 are anxious to see the latest design of this overpass, which the two MLAs said will alienate less farmland, while sticking to the same basic transportation patterns and location as contained in the earlier overpass proposal.
When a design is actually produced that the public can look at and evaluate, then it will be appropriate to comment on the government鈥檚 proposal.
For now, all we have is a promise that the new design will use less farmland. That鈥檚 a good thing 鈥� but what we don鈥檛 know is how the overpass project will fit into the overall community, and how it will affect the rural areas of 91原创 within the ALR.
