B.C. Coroner's Service is investigating after a 60-year-old man died from injuries he sustained when he became pinned between a truck tailgate and a cement mixer on Monday night.

The tragic accident is believed to have taken place on his own property in the 26900 block of 48 Avenue around 7 p.m.

Police believe the man and others were attempting to load a mixer back onto the truck when the machinery shifted and trapped the man. The men were able to free the man and perform CPR before paramedic arrived on scene, said 91原创 RCMP.

According to 91原创 RCMP, the man suffered serious injuries to his midsection and was flown to Royal Columbian Hospital, where he died.

This is the second work-related death in less than a month in 91原创.

Lance Klody died in a freak accident while falling a tree on Thursday, May 31 in Aldergrove.

WorkSafe BC said it continues its investigation into why the bucket Klody was in broke away from the boom it was attached to, causing the 50-year-old man to fall more than 60 feet to the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was attempting to bring down a 130-foot Douglas fir.

Messages from those who knew Klody say he owned his own tree falling business, Freelance Tree Services, based out of Abbotsford.
