A year after shooting and killing 91原创鈥檚 Laura Lynn Lamoureux and Marc Bontkes, convicted double murderer Roy Thielen told an undercover police officer that he had done the City of 91原创 a big favour and they should kiss him for offing the pair.

On Tuesday, an undercover officer testified at the trial of Robert David Bradshaw, 28, who is charged with two counts of first degree murder in connection with the March 2009 killings of Lamoureux and Bontkes. He is facing a jury trial in Supreme Court in New Westminster.

This is the first time any details about the murders have been released.

There was a ban on any information about the murders until Bradshaw, the final person to be tried, went to trial. Three people were arrested and charged with the murders one year later, after an undercover operation.

Michelle Motola, 21, was sentenced to six years in a federal prison for her part in the killing of Bontkes. Motola was initially charged first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

After working with lawyers, she pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Motola was not charged in connection with Lamoureux鈥檚 murder.

Thielen, 33, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the Bontkes case, as well as in the related killing of Lamoureux.

He is serving a life sentence with no chance of parole for 20 years.

Bontkes, 33, was found shot to death in a parking lot of Hi-Knoll Park, on the Surrey-91原创 border, on March 19, 2009.

His murder, as well as that of Lamoureux, which took place just five days earlier, were related to the street-level drug trade, said police at the time.

Sitting in the front row, Bontkes parents listened to gruesome details about how their son allegedly died, according to what Thielen told an undercover officer posing as the head of a gang operation that Thielen wanted to be part of.

A lengthy undercover operation helped lead to the arrest of Bradshaw, Thielen and Motola in 2010. Details of Bradshaw鈥檚 role in both murders hasn鈥檛 been made clear in court yet.

Thielen was on a road trip to Alberta with the undercover officer to meet and bond with other undercover officers posing as part of the gang. They all took in meals together and the officer testifying said he took Thielen to West Edmonton Mall and took him shopping for clothes, telling he had to dress better if he was going to be part of his organization.

On a drive from the mall to Calgary, which takes about three hours, Thielen went into graphic detail about how he killed Lamoureux (her street name was Double D) and Bontkes, (his street name was Marcus).

According to the officer, Thielen told him that he killed both with a 45 colt. He shot Double D four times in the chest, three times in the head and one time in the throat. Her lifeless body was found on the street in front of her 91原创 City apartment.

Prior to this confession, he told the undercover that Double D and Bontkes had abducted and tortured his adopted sister Motola 鈥� who was Bradshaw鈥檚 girlfriend at the time of the killings. He said Motola had deep cigarette burns on her clevage as a result of that torture. Both the victims and the accused were all drug dealing in some form 鈥� most as dial-a-dope employees in 91原创. All were addicted to crystal meth at the time.

Thielen said he killed Bontkes 鈥渆xecution style, emptying a clip of his 45鈥� into Bontkes but not before psychologically torturing him.

Thielen alleged in this conversation that he got Motola to lure Bontkes to Hi-Knoll park where she promised the two of them would do meth together.

He then alleged to the undercover that he snuck up on Bontkes with his gun, forced him out of the van and onto his knees with his hands on his head.

He told the officer that Motola asked to kill him but Thielen said he would do it. He claimed to kneel down with Bontkes for 40 minutes, whispering in his ear and even kissing it at one point. He claimed he told Bontkes that if he just apologized to Motola for abducting and torturing her he wouldn鈥檛 kill him. But he told the officer he was going to kill Bontkes no matter what.

As Bontkes鈥� mother cried, the testimony from the officer went on with Thielen alleging that Motola fired one round into Bontkes鈥� groin area and said she wouldn鈥檛 waste anymore bullets on him.

Thielen is expected to testify at Bradshaw鈥檚 trial.
