Goodytwoshoes stepping up for the homeless

BioPed's Goodytwoshoes Foundation will be distributing new and gently used shoes to those in need on Oct. 17.

BioPed clinicians and staff across Canada will open their hearts 鈥 and their hands 鈥 to children and adults in need through the company's Goodytwoshoes Foundation on Oct. 17.

The program aims to give the gift of comfort, activity and better foot health to thousands of Canadians.

Partnering with the Gateway of Hope in 91原创 and a number of other independent local shelters across Canada, BioPed associates will properly fit and distribute more than 4,000 pairs of shoes and socks to the homeless, battered women and children.

So far their sponsors have donated 2,000 pairs of new shoes and even some of their patients have brought in 鈥済ently loved shoes鈥 for the cause.

"Their generosity will go a long way particularly with the colder months ahead," said Adam Welsh, owner of BioPed in Surrey. "As we鈥檙e still in need of men's gently worn shoes, we鈥檙e encouraging the people of the Lower Mainland to drop off their gently worn shoes."
