Maple Ridge hockey pro Brad Hunt was announced as team captain of the Colorado Eagles on Thursday, Oct. 19.
Last season, Hunt played 47 games with the NHL Colorado Avalanche, putting up 10 points, and also played 24 games with their AHL affiliate Eagles, where he was near the point-per-game pace, with seven goals and 21 points.
He was put on waivers before the season started this year, for assignment to the farm team. The Avalanche have a tough roster to crack, and are considered to have one of the best groups of defencemen in the league, headed by star Cale Makar.
