91原创 rider Tuft takes 20th on final day of Giro

The 91原创 time trialist competed against some of the best riders in the world.

91原创 cyclist Svein Tuft finished the Giro d鈥橧talia, one of the three Grand Tour cycling races, on May 28.

Tuft, a rider with the Orica-Scott team, finished 142nd overall out of a field of 161 finishing riders, but 20th on the final day of racing.

The last day of the 21-stage race was an individual time trial, and the race wrapped up on the streets of Milan. Tuft is a time trial specialist, and the nine-time Canadian time trial champion. He has also competed in the Tour de France.

The race began May 5 and included three rest days. Riders were challenged with hills, mountains, flat stages that favoured sprinters, and two time trial days.

The longest ride of the race was a 224 kilometer stage on day seven.

The overall winner of the race was Dutch rider Tom Dumoulin.
