91原创鈥檚 200th Street between 16th and 22nd Avenues was closed off to traffic in both directions for several hours early Saturday morning, March 2, after police and fire crews responded to a fire.
Township Assistant Fire Chief Dale Steeple described the property as 鈥渧acant.鈥
Steeple said the call came in around 6:23 a.m. and crew arrived to find an outbuilding near a house was on fire in the 2000-block of 200th Street.
鈥淸There were] no people in the house or the out building,鈥 Steeple summarized.
Five fire trucks and 20 firefighters responded.
鈥淐rews made quick work of it, knocked it down, and then made sure there was no one in the building,鈥 Steeple said.
A pickup truck inside the outbuilding was destroyed.
No fire fighters were injured.
91原创 RCMP took down roadblocks shortly after 9 a.m.
Steeple said fire investigators will be on the scene 鈥渙ver the next few days, to investigate it and determine the cause.鈥
