On Thursday, Oct. 19, the third of four 91原创 City neighbourhood meetings, about the Nicomekl neighbourhood, will be held at Nicomekl Elementary at 20050 53rd Ave.
It will be followed by a meeting about the Blacklock and Simonds neighbourhoods Oct. 24 (Tuesday) Simonds Elementary 2019 48th Ave.
In his online blog, Mayor Nathan Pachal described the meetings as a 鈥渓ow-key and informal鈥 opportunity to ask questions and share feedback with 91原创 City Council, City Staff, and the RCMP.
鈥淭he meetings are set up like a trade show or open house,鈥 Pachal described, with information booths from City recreation, finance, bylaws, social planning services, engineering, parks, and development services departments, along with Fire Rescue and the RCMP.
鈥淐ouncil will be mingling around if you have questions and feedback for us as well.鈥 Pachal said.
There will also be coffee and light snacks, a children鈥檚 play area, and 鈥渓imited seating,鈥 he added.
Running 6-8 p.m. residents can learn about City initiatives, projects, services and programs, including the Surrey-91原创 SkyTrain, the City鈥檚 financial plan, transportation 2045 plan, engineering and parks projects, urban forest management, zoning bylaw update, community safety, bylaw enforcement, fire prevention, recreation and culture programming and community events.
All residents are welcome and no reservation is needed.
