Moonlight Movie Tour by Beem Credit Union is coming to Aldergrove for the first time on THursday, Aug. 29.

A movie night is coming to the Aldergrove Athletic Park and viewing is by donation.

Beem Credit Union, formed by the merger of Gulf & Fraser and Interior Savings, is bringing back its annual Moonlight Movie Tour where the credit union partners with local non-profits in 11 communities in B.C. to host a movie night.

For the first time, on Thursday, Aug. 29, the tour is stopping in Aldergrove for the filming of 'Elemental' at the local park.

"We are delighted to bring the magic of the Moonlight Movie Tour back to our communities this summer, and we're especially excited to welcome Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Prince George, and Aldergrove as first-time hosts," said CEO Brian Harris.

Admission to the movie is by donation, with a suggested minimum of $3 per person and $10 per family. All proceeds will go towards 91原创 Meals on Wheels.

"This event is not just about enjoying a great movie under the stars; it's about coming together as a community to support the incredible work of our local non-profits," Harris said.

Gates open at 6:30 and the movie begins at 8 p.m.

People are encouraged to bring blankets and pillows, or a low chair, to watch the movie. A concession stand will be on site for snacks to purchase.

Since the inception of the movie tour in 2008, Beem has raised more than $210,000 in donations for local community organizations.

Aldergrove Athletic Park is located at 26845 27 Ave.
