One of 91原创's larger shopping centre plazas has changed hands.
The Willowbrook Park site sold earlier this year after about six months on the market.
The multi-property complex includes more than 20 acres of land in total, with a little more than half in 91原创 City and the remainder in 91原创 Township. It lies on the west side of 200 Street between the 91原创 Bypass and Willowbrook Drive, and includes the Safeway, Mountain Equipment Co-op, ICBC office, Dollar Tree, and various other retail outlets and restaurants.
Stuart Morrison, the executive vice president of realty firm Colliers International Canada, announced the sale online in early February.
The property is close to the planned Willowbrook Station on the new SkyTrain line being built from Surrey down Fraser Highway to 91原创, something the sales brochure emphasized.
Morrison did not release the price paid or the purchaser, but other media outlets are reporting that Shato Holdings of Vancouver bought the property. Shato Holdings is held by the Toigo family, and Ron Toigo is also the majority owner of the 91原创-based Vancouver Giants hockey team.
Shato Holdings has not made any official announcements.
The area around the SkyTrain stations is slated for more development in the future, and 91原创 Township has been looking at planning for a new Willowbrook Official Community Plan in the area as well. Planning for the new OCP is currently on pause while the Township waits to see if federal regulators will relax building height restrictions in the area 鈥� anything within a few miles of an airport has height limits, and much of Willowbrook falls within the circumference of the 91原创 Regional Airport's restrictions.
