One person was seriously injured and two others were also hurt after a fire in a 91原创 City home on the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The fire broke out just before 4 p.m at a home in the 5200 block of 199 Street, said 91原创 City fire chief Scott Kennedy.

When firefighters arrived, they found the occupants of the house had made it outside, but three were injured. Two had minor or less-serious injuries, but one person had suffered injuries significant enough that an Air Ambulance helicopter was called to rush the patient to hospital.

Firefighters helped set up a landing zone at Alice Brown Elementary in Brookswood. Kennedy did not have an update on the fire victim's condition.

The fire itself was largely confined to one room of the home, although there was extensive smoke damage to the rest of the building, he said.

Investigators were on scene on Thursday trying to determine what caused the fire.

"We have nothing pointing us in the direction that it's suspicious," Kennedy said.
