Two neighbourhoods in 91原创 Township's Willoughby area will have their pickup day for garbage, recycling, and green bin waste changed starting in February.
In northeast Willoughby, collection will be shifting from the Monday A zone to the Wednesday B zone.
The first day of the new schedule will be on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The change will impact garbage, recycling, and compost waste.
In a section of southeast Willoughby, near Willowbrook, the pickup day for trash and green bin waste will switch from the Monday B zone to the Tuesday A zone.
For recycling, the recycling will also switch from Monday to Tuesday zones.
The first day of pickup on the new schedule will be Tuesday, Feb. 11.
However, this will have no impact on residents in strata properties who contract for their own garbage and recycling pickup. It will only affect municipal curbside collection.
During the changeover, both neighbourhoods will see pickup on consecutive weeks, first under the old system and then the new one, instead of pickup every two weeks.
