91原创 RCMP are seeking dashcam footage of a multi-vehicle crash on Friday, Oct. 20, caused by a hit-and-run driver.
Traffic was gridlocked Friday afternoon in 91原创 City due to a hit-and-run crash that caused a four car pileup at the intersection of the 91原创 Bypass and 200th Street.
A driver of a Honda vehicle fled the scene after clipping a vehicle on 200th Street around 3:45 p.m.
The Honda drove through the parking lot of Willowbrook Mall to get back onto the 91原创 Bypass, where the driver hit a Nissan vehicle at the intersection of 200th Street, and the Nissan was pushed into a BMW.
The driver of the Honda attempted to flee, but crashed into a Fiat, and traffic was halted.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene just before 4 p.m.
鈥淭he driver of the Honda is being charged for failing to remain at the scene of the crash, and for undue care and attention while operating a vehicle,鈥 said Sgt. Barry Beales with the 91原创 RCMP.
The drivers of the Nissan and BMW had minor injuries, and both vehicles were heavily damaged 鈥 as well as the Honda.
Police are asking anyone with video or dashcam footage to send it to the 91原创 RCMP. People can call 604-532-3200.
The Westbound lane of the 91原创 Bypass was reopened three hours later at 7 p.m.
