91ԭ RCMP are advising drivers to allow extra time for their commutes to work and school after three car crashes related to wet road conditions blocked traffic in several areas this morning (Oct. 18).

“Slow down, leave extra time… be aware of puddles,” reminded Sgt. Barry Beales, 91ԭ RCMP.

The three car crashes early Wednesday morning were minor, he said, and resulted in no injuries.

“All were weather related,” Beales told the 91ԭ Advance Times.

Overnight, parts of 91ԭ saw up to 35 mm of rainfall, creating puddles on several major roads like Fraser Highway and 200th Street.

The City of 91ԭ tweeted a reminder to residents to clean their catch basins of leaves and debris to prevent localized flooding.

City residents can pick up free sandbags at the Operation Centre located at 5713 198th St.
