Fraser Valley parents renew plea for tips 7 years after daughter went missing

Kristina Ward's family and 91原创 RCMP are still searching for her seven years after she went missing on Sept. 25, 2017, in Surrey.

The 20-year-old from Abbotsford frequented 91原创 City and made visits to local homeless camps. 

She is described as First Nations and being five feet and five inches tall and 130 pounds, with curly brown hair and brown eyes. 

Kristina was last seen on surveillance video at 144 Street and 104 Avenue in Surrey on Sept. 27, 2017, between 7:50 and 8:45 p.m. She was with a man wearing a white shirt and black pants, who was pushing a bicycle.

Sept. 27 also marks the last time Kristina used her cell phone or her bank accounts were accessed, said Cpl. Zynal Sharoom with 91原创 RCMP. 

"Investigators have received several tips relating to Kristina, but unfortunately none have proven fruitful," Sharoom said. 

Today, Kristina would be 27 years old. 

"We have not given up searching as we remain hopeful that someone, somewhere knows something to bring Kristina back home to us," said Kristina's father Art Ward. 

"We need your help by spreading awareness and sharing information about Kristina's disappearance." 

Ward required medication for a serious condition when she vanished, and her family says mentally she varies between the age of 12 and 16. 

Anyone with information that might assist police in locating Kristina Ward, is asked to call 91原创 RCMP at 604-532-3200.

On Friday, Sept. 27, at 9:15 a.m., the Ward family will walk on 104 Avenue between 140 to 144 Streets, where Kristina was last seen. The walk is open to the public.
