A large police presence can be seen at a property on the Surrey/91原创 border on Friday (April 4).
Sgt. Tige Pollock, media relations officer for Surrey Police Service told the Now-Leader that police are conducting a search warrant "regarding an ongoing investigation" at the property in the 19400-block of Colebrook Road and that there is no risk to the public.
Pollock would not provide any more information at the time.
A Black Press reporter at the scene noted the presence of a forensics van, several police officers, and a drone operating over the site.
This property is believed to be the same one where a pet boarding operation used to be,
A Surrey woman charged with animal cruelty in connection with the February 2016 seizure of 82 distressed animals has been found guilty. In Surrey Provincial Court in May 2018 received two years probation but 鈥� despite a request from Crown 鈥� no lifetime ban from owning, caring for or possessing animals. Judge Daniel Weatherly did, however, ban Zhou from owning, caring for or possessing domestic animals for the next seven years.
It is not clear if the property is associated with Zhou.
