A drug-sniffing dog is retiring after 10 years of service in Aldergrove and other crossings in the Lower Mainland.
Caper worked with border services officer Mark Ingalls, mostly at land crossings in the Pacific Highway District, which includes 91原创 and Surrey crossings.
Over the course of Caper鈥檚 career, she was involved in the seizure of 200 kilograms of cocaine, 55 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 鈥渃ountless鈥� marijuana seizures.鈥�
She also took part in helping a local police department with a vehicle search, which turned up a hidden compartment stuffed with illicit narcotics in the center console of an SUV.
Caper will now retire into a post-career life as a pet with the Ingalls and his family.
