91原创 peewee girls bring home gold medal

Four out of five victories at a softball tournament last weekend earned the Xtreme 鈥03 some glory.

91原创 Xtreme 鈥03 came home this past weekend with the gold.

The U14B girls peewee softball rep team was one of four competing in the May Madness tournament in Maple Ridge last weekend.

Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association hosted the tourney on May 20 and 21, where all four teams competing in a round-robin format.

Xtreme 鈥03 placed a close second in the round-robin, winning two games against the Ridge Meadows Rage by a score of 20-3 and 10-2. before suffering what Mel Baly described as a 鈥渃lose loss鈥 to the Cloverdale Fury 鈥03 team, by the score of 6-5.

The playoffs on Sunday, however, landed the Xtremes a 13-1 win over the Rage again, securing them a spot in the finals.

Then, in the finals, Xtremes cleaned up.

They downed the Cloverdale Fury 鈥03 by a score of 12-8, 鈥減roudly securing the gold medal,鈥 Baly said, describing it as an 鈥渆xciting鈥 game.

鈥淚t was a great tournament for the 91原创 Xtreme 鈥03 U14B girls peewee softball team, who are looking forward to continuing a successful softball season.
