Willoughby鈥檚 Kerri Ross is running for her second try at a 91原创 Township council seat this fall.

Ross, a four-year member of the District Parents Advisory Council (DPAC) ran in 2014 as half of the two-person Live 91原创 slate with Clint Lee.

This year, she said the need for ongoing investment in youth services and safety infrastructure are two of her main issues.

鈥淎s the community grows these are things we cannot wait for,鈥 Ross said in an announcement. 鈥淭hese are needs we had yesterday and will continue to have tomorrow.鈥

Education and affordable housing are key concerns that come up repeatedly in the Township, Ross said.

When Ross last ran, it was aspart of slate driven by opposition to a number of decisions made in the run-up to the 2014 election.

Live 91原创 took issue with development in Willoughby, the Coulter Berry building controversy in Fort 91原创, and approvals for projects near Trinity Western University.

Ross and Lee were in the top-eight vote getters in Willoughby and Brookswood during the 2014 election, but didn鈥檛 get much traction outside of those neighbourhoods.
